Ingredients
  

Crispy Onions
  • 2 large yellow onions thinly sliced into rings
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs use panko for extra crunch
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs lightly beaten
  • 1 tbsp milk optional
  • olive oil spray for coating

  • Mixing bowls

Method
 

  1. Peel and thinly slice onions into rings. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Set up three bowls: one with flour and spices, one with eggs and milk, and one with breadcrumbs.
  3. Coat onion rings in flour, dip in egg wash, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  5. Arrange onion rings in a single layer in the basket. Spray lightly with oil.
  6. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  7. Cool on a wire rack and serve warm.

Notes

For best crunch, eat immediately. Store leftovers in an airtight container and re-crisp in the air fryer.
