- Toss sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and vanilla.
- Spray slow cooker insert with nonstick spray and layer apple mixture evenly.
- Combine oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt; stir in melted butter and butterscotch chips.
- Sprinkle topping over apples in slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low 3–4 hours or high 1.5–2 hours until apples are tender and topping is golden.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
Use a mix of tart and sweet apples for best flavor. Topping may soften if stored and reheated.
