Apple Cinnamon Tea (Hot or Iced)

Ingredients
  

Tea Base
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 apple thinly sliced
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 1 tbsp honey optional
  • 1 tsp lemon juice optional

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Strainer
  • Tea cups or glasses

Method
 

  1. Bring water to a gentle boil in a saucepan.
  2. Add sliced apple and cinnamon sticks.
  3. Simmer for 8–10 minutes to release flavors.
  4. Remove from heat and add tea bags.
  5. Steep for 3–5 minutes depending on desired strength.
  6. Remove tea bags and stir in honey or lemon if desired.
  7. Serve hot or allow to cool and pour over ice.

Notes

Add ginger or cloves for extra spice flavor.
