- Preheat waffle maker and lightly grease with butter or spray.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugars together in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, butter, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in diced apples.
- Spoon batter into waffle maker and cook 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
- Transfer to a wire rack and cool 10 minutes.
- Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth and dip or drizzle donuts.
- Allow glaze to set before serving.
Notes
Add chopped pecans or drizzle with caramel sauce for a decadent twist.
