Ingredients
  

For the Sauce
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 0.5 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional
For the Noodles & Beef
  • 12 oz noodles spaghetti, ramen, or lo mein
  • 1 lb ground beef lean
  • 1 tbsp vegetable or sesame oil
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup sliced bell pepper optional
  • 3 green onions chopped, for garnish
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds for garnish

Equipment

  • Large skillet or wok
  • Mixing bowls
  • Tongs

Method
 

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and toss with sesame oil.
  2. Whisk soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
  3. In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking apart as it cooks.
  4. Add onion, garlic, and ginger; cook 2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Stir in carrots and bell peppers; cook 2–3 minutes.
  6. Pour in sauce and add cooked noodles; toss well to coat and heat through.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Double the sauce if you prefer extra-coated noodles. Great for meal prep and easy to reheat.
