Gnocchi Bake
  • 1 lb potato gnocchi
  • 3 yellow onions thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme
Cheese
  • 1.5 cups Gruyère cheese shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded

Method
 

  1. Caramelize onions slowly in butter and olive oil until golden.
  2. Add garlic, thyme, and broth, then simmer briefly.
  3. Stir in gnocchi and transfer to baking dish.
  4. Top with cheeses and bake until bubbly and golden.

Notes

Do not rush the onions; slow cooking builds flavor.
