Ingredients
  

Bread Pudding
  • 6 cups day-old bread cubes
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 eggs large
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Place cubed bread in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk milk, cream, eggs, sugar, butter, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth.
  4. Pour custard over bread and let soak for 10–15 minutes.
  5. Transfer mixture to baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden and set.
  7. Cool slightly and serve warm with sauce or powdered sugar.

Notes

For best results, use slightly stale bread and allow enough soaking time for a creamy custard texture.
