- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two round cake pans.
- Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla in a separate bowl until smooth.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients gently until just mixed.
- Add hot coffee and melted chocolate, mixing until batter is smooth and thin.
- Divide batter into pans and bake for 30–35 minutes.
- Cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.
- Beat butter, cocoa, powdered sugar, cream, and melted chocolate until fluffy.
- Frost layered cake generously and chill before slicing.
