Method
- Coat sliced chicken with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in a wok and cook chicken until browned; remove and set aside.
- Add mushrooms and onions; cook until softened. Add garlic and ginger.
- Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, broth, and black pepper.
- Return chicken to wok and pour in sauce.
- Add cornstarch slurry and simmer until thickened.
- Stir in green onions and serve.
Notes
Use fresh cracked pepper for best flavor.
