- Season shrimp with olive oil, blackening seasoning, paprika, cayenne, and salt.
- Sear shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until cooked; set aside.
- Sauté onions and mushrooms in butter for 6–7 minutes; add garlic.
- Stir in flour (optional) and cook briefly.
- Add chicken broth and whisk until smooth; simmer 2 minutes.
- Add sour cream, heavy cream, Dijon, paprika, salt, and pepper; stir on low heat.
- Return shrimp to the skillet and combine with sauce.
- Serve over noodles or rice and garnish with parsley.
Notes
Adjust spice level by adding more or less cayenne. Serve with pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
