Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix cake mix, melted butter, and 1/3 cup evaporated milk to form thick batter.
- Press half the batter into the pan and bake for 8–10 minutes.
- Melt caramel bits with 1/3 cup evaporated milk until smooth.
- Pour caramel over the baked brownie layer and sprinkle chocolate chips if using.
- Drop remaining brownie batter on top in small clumps.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes until set.
- Cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Cool fully for clean slices. Add flaky salt for a gourmet finish.
