Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 0.5 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and black pepper to taste
Topping
  • 2 cups Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook ground beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in mixed vegetables, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
  4. Combine Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix, milk, melted butter, and shredded cheddar cheese until dough forms.
  5. Spread beef mixture in baking dish. Dollop biscuit topping over beef and spread gently.
  6. Bake 18–20 minutes until topping is golden. Cool 5 minutes and serve warm.

Notes

Extra cheddar on top adds cheesiness. Can swap vegetables to preference.
