Ingredients
  

Cherry Syrup
  • 1 cup cherries pitted
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
Milk Tea
  • 1 Earl Grey tea bag
  • 0.75 cup hot water
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2-3 tbsp cherry syrup
  • 1 cup ice for iced version

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Fine sieve
  • Mug or glass
  • Milk frother or whisk

Method
 

  1. Simmer cherries, sugar, and water for 8–10 minutes.
  2. Mash cherries and stir in lemon juice.
  3. Strain syrup and cool.
  4. Steep Earl Grey tea for 3–4 minutes.
  5. Combine syrup, tea, and milk for hot version.
  6. For iced version, pour over ice and stir.

Notes

Adjust sweetness to taste. Store cherry syrup refrigerated up to 5 days.
