- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9x5 loaf pan with parchment.
- Whisk mashed bananas, melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla together.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Pour batter into loaf pan and bake 55–65 minutes.
- Cool 10 minutes in pan, then transfer to rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a bakery-style top, sprinkle extra chocolate chips on the batter before baking.
