Method
- Place pitted dates and hot water in a blender and let sit 2–3 minutes to soften.
- Add cocoa powder, cinnamon, salt, vanilla, and espresso or strong coffee. Blend until completely smooth.
- Heat milk until steaming, frothing if desired.
- Pour steamed milk into the blender and mix briefly to combine.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or chocolate level as needed.
- Pour into a mug and garnish with cocoa or cinnamon.
Notes
For extra creaminess, use oat milk. For iced variation, blend with cold milk and ice.
