Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line 8x8-inch pan with parchment.
- Combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla; stir in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Pour brownie batter into prepared pan and bake 20–25 minutes. Cool completely.
- Melt chocolate and whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla; fold in melted chocolate.
- Spread chocolate mousse evenly over cooled brownies.
- Chill at least 1 hour to set mousse.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder and slice into squares.
