Method
- Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Prepare a springform pan with parchment.
- Mix cookie crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press into the bottom of the pan.
- Bake crust for 10 minutes then cool.
- Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add sour cream, vanilla, orange zest, and juice.
- Mix in eggs one at a time followed by melted chocolate and cocoa powder.
- Pour batter into crust and bake in a water bath for 50–55 minutes.
- Cool slowly, then refrigerate at least 4 hours.
- Make ganache by pouring hot cream over chocolate and stirring until smooth.
- Spread ganache over cheesecake, garnish with orange zest, slice and serve.
Notes
For best flavor, chill overnight before serving.
