Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in vanilla extract, almond extract, and cherry juice if using.
- Add flour and salt; mix until a dough forms.
- Fold in chopped maraschino cherries.
- Roll dough into balls and flatten slightly.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are set but still pale.
- Cool on a wire rack and serve.
Notes
Dry cherries thoroughly to prevent excess moisture.
