Copycat Fannie May Fudge

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts optional
  • pinch salt

Equipment

  • Parchment paper

Method
 

  1. Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter with sweetened condensed milk over low heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until smooth.
  4. Mix in vanilla and salt, fold in nuts if desired.
  5. Pour into prepared pan, smooth top, refrigerate at least 2 hours.
  6. Lift fudge using parchment, cut into squares, serve.

Notes

For extra creaminess, add 1 tbsp of butter when melting chocolate.
