Cowboy Butter Sauce
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice fresh
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp chili flakes
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant, without browning.
  3. Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, lemon zest, smoked paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
  4. Remove from heat and add fresh parsley and chives.
  5. Serve warm as a dip or pour over steak, chicken, seafood, or vegetables.

Notes

Add extra chili flakes for more heat or additional lemon juice for extra brightness.
