Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp orange zest fresh
  • 2 tbsp orange juice fresh
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add egg, egg yolk, vanilla, orange zest, and orange juice; mix until smooth.
  5. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and fold until a dough forms.
  6. Fold in dried cranberries and optional white chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake 10–12 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.
  9. Cool on baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Do not overbake for soft, chewy cookies.
