- Cook penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve some pasta water and drain.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently until slightly thickened.
- Stir in grated parmesan cheese and seasonings until smooth.
- Add cooked penne and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
- Use reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

For extra flavor, add grilled chicken, shrimp, or sautéed mushrooms.
