Method
- Butter a baking dish and arrange bread slices evenly.
- Whisk eggs, cream, milk, brown sugar, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour custard over bread and press gently.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40–45 minutes until set.
- Sprinkle sugar evenly and caramelize with torch or broiler.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Brûlée topping should be added just before serving for best texture.
