Ingredients
  

Breaded Tofu
  • 1 block extra-firm tofu 14-ounce
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup milk dairy or plant-based
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
Salad
  • 6 cups romaine lettuce chopped
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese shaved
  • 1 cup croutons
Dressing
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese grated

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Press tofu 20–30 minutes and cut into cubes.
  2. Coat tofu in flour mixture, milk, and breadcrumbs.
  3. Bake at 400°F for 25–30 minutes or pan-fry until golden.
  4. Whisk dressing ingredients until smooth.
  5. Toss romaine with dressing and croutons.
  6. Top with crispy tofu and serve immediately.

Notes

Reheat tofu in oven for best crisp texture if making ahead.
