- Peel and thinly slice potatoes.
- Make cream sauce by whisking butter, flour, milk, and cream until thickened.
- Layer potatoes, ham, onion, garlic, and cheese in greased slow cooker.
- Pour sauce over layers and gently press down.
- Cook on LOW 6–7 hours or HIGH 3–4 hours until tender.
- Rest 10–15 minutes before serving.
