Ingredients
  

Meat & Aromatics
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
Chili Base
  • 15 oz kidney beans drained
  • 15 oz black beans drained
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 14 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
Spices
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet and drain excess fat.
  2. Add onions and garlic; cook for 1–2 minutes.
  3. Transfer beef mixture to the crockpot.
  4. Add beans, tomatoes, broth, and spices.
  5. Cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  6. Adjust seasoning and serve hot with desired toppings.

Notes

For thicker chili, remove lid for the last 20 minutes.
