- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease baking dish.
- Mix strawberries with sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, and cornstarch.
- Spread strawberry mixture into baking dish.
- Whisk topping dry ingredients, then add butter and milk.
- Spoon batter over strawberries.
- Bake until golden and bubbling, 40–45 minutes.
- Cool slightly before serving.
