Ingredients
  

Strawberry Filling
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries hulled and halved
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
Cobbler Topping
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup milk

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease baking dish.
  2. Mix strawberries with sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, and cornstarch.
  3. Spread strawberry mixture into baking dish.
  4. Whisk topping dry ingredients, then add butter and milk.
  5. Spoon batter over strawberries.
  6. Bake until golden and bubbling, 40–45 minutes.
  7. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Best served warm with vanilla ice cream.
