Frozen Candied Grapes

Sweet and tangy frozen grapes coated in a candy-like sugar shell for a refreshing healthier snack.

Ingredients
  

Main
  • 4 cups seedless grapes washed and dried
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 packet flavored gelatin powder optional

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry grapes.
  2. Mix lemon juice with a small splash of water.
  3. Toss grapes lightly in lemon mixture.
  4. Roll grapes in sugar (and gelatin if using) until coated.
  5. Arrange on lined baking sheet in single layer.
  6. Freeze for 2–3 hours until firm.
  7. Serve directly from freezer.

Notes

For extra sour flavor, add 1/4 teaspoon citric acid to sugar mixture.
