  • 4 slices rustic or sourdough bread
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or blend of cheddar and mozzarella
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley chopped, optional
  • Pinch of salt

Method
 

  1. Mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley (if using), and salt in a small bowl.
  2. Spread garlic butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Place shredded cheese between two slices, garlic-buttered sides facing out.
  4. Heat skillet over medium. Cook sandwich 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cheese melts. Press lightly with spatula.
  5. Slice diagonally and serve immediately.

Notes

Customize with different cheeses or add extras like tomatoes or bacon. Best served hot.
