  • 1 cup steel-cut oats
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup milk any kind
  • 1 tbsp butter optional
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey, optional
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp salt
Optional Toppings
  • berries fresh
  • banana slices
  • nuts any kind
  • honey or maple syrup for serving

Method
 

  1. Add steel-cut oats, water, milk, butter, cinnamon, maple syrup, and salt to the Instant Pot.
  2. Lock lid and cook on High Pressure for 10 minutes.
  3. Allow natural release for 10 minutes, then quick-release remaining pressure.
  4. Stir well to thicken and serve warm with preferred toppings.

Notes

Adjust liquid for thicker or thinner oats; reheats well for meal prep.
