Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • food coloring pink, blue, yellow, or choice

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture until dough forms.
  5. Divide dough into portions, color each portion, and roll into logs.
  6. Stack colored logs, lightly roll, then slice into ½-inch thick spirals. Place on prepared sheet.
  7. Optional: sprinkle tops with festive sprinkles.
  8. Bake 12–14 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool on wire rack.

Notes

Chill dough if too soft for easier handling. Use pastel or neon colors as desired.
