No-Oven Stovetop Bread

Soft and fluffy homemade bread cooked entirely on the stovetop using simple pantry ingredients and no oven.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2–4 tbsp water as needed

Method
 

  1. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Add yogurt, olive oil, and water to form a soft dough.
  3. Knead dough for 2–3 minutes until smooth.
  4. Rest dough for 10 minutes, covered.
  5. Divide dough and roll into flat rounds.
  6. Cook in a dry skillet over medium heat 2–3 minutes per side.

Notes

Brush with butter or olive oil after cooking for extra flavor.
