Method
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Roast whole jalapeños until blistered, about 10–12 minutes.
- Remove stems and seeds if desired, then chop jalapeños.
- Mix cream cheese, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and roasted jalapeños.
- Spread mixture onto one slice of bread and top with cheddar and mozzarella.
- Add the second slice of bread and butter the outside surfaces.
- Cook in a skillet over medium heat until golden and cheese is melted.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
For extra heat, keep seeds or add pickled jalapeños.
