Simple Caramel Apple Pie Bombs

Ingredients
  

Pastry & Filling
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 2 cups apples peeled and diced
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 egg beaten, for egg wash
  • 0.5 cup caramel sauce for drizzling or dipping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook diced apples with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and salt until slightly softened. Cool.
  3. Roll out puff pastry and cut into squares.
  4. Place apple filling in the center of each square.
  5. Fold corners to center, pinch edges, and brush with beaten egg.
  6. Bake 15–20 minutes until golden and puffed.
  7. Drizzle with caramel sauce and serve warm.

Notes

Chill puff pastry and don’t overfill to prevent bursting.
