Method
- Sauté onion, carrots, celery, and garlic in olive oil until softened.
- Add ground chicken and cook until browned.
- Transfer chicken and vegetables to the slow cooker.
- Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, broth, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and balsamic vinegar.
- Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions.
- Stir Parmesan into the sauce, then toss with hot pasta.
- Serve topped with basil and more Parmesan.
Notes
Add milk or cream for a silky finish; sauce freezes well without pasta.
