Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 lb beef chuck roast
  • 4 yellow onions thinly sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme

Method
 

  1. Season and sear the chuck roast until browned.
  2. Caramelize onions with butter and garlic.
  3. Transfer roast and onions to slow cooker.
  4. Add broth, soup mix, Worcestershire, and thyme.
  5. Cook until beef is fork-tender.
