- Brown ground beef in a skillet and drain excess fat.
- Add potatoes, carrots, onions, and garlic to the slow cooker.
- Place browned beef over vegetables.
- Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, broth, Worcestershire sauce, and spices. Stir gently.
- Add bay leaf and cook on LOW 7–8 hours or HIGH 4–5 hours.
- Remove bay leaf, adjust seasoning, and serve warm.
Notes
For a thicker stew, mash a few potato pieces before serving.
