Ingredients
  

Crostini Base
  • 1 baguette sliced into ½-inch rounds
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste salt
Toppings
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 6 oz smoked salmon
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • 0.5 small red onion thinly sliced, optional
  • as needed lemon wedges for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Brush baguette slices with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, and toast 8–10 minutes.
  2. While toasting, soften cream cheese and chop dill. Slice red onion if using.
  3. Spread cream cheese on each toasted baguette slice and top with smoked salmon.
  4. Sprinkle with dill and capers, add red onion if desired.
  5. Arrange on serving platter with lemon wedges and serve immediately.

Notes

Assemble just before serving to keep crostini crisp.
