Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lb carrots peeled and sliced
  • 6 slices bacon chopped
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 0.33 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add butter and carrots to the skillet, tossing to coat.
  3. Stir in garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour in maple syrup and simmer covered until carrots are tender.
  5. Add bacon back in and cook uncovered until glaze thickens.

Notes

Use real maple syrup for best flavor.
