- Cook penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
- Gradually whisk in milk and cream, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Simmer until sauce thickens, then add Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Add cooked penne pasta and toss until fully coated.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
Notes
Add pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
