Ingredients
  

Marinade
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt plain
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp oregano
Chicken
  • 2 lbs chicken thighs or breasts boneless

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, whisk together yogurt, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cumin, turmeric, salt, pepper, and oregano.
  2. Add chicken to the marinade and coat evenly.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  4. Preheat oven or grill to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Remove chicken from marinade and shake off excess.
  6. Cook chicken 20–25 minutes in oven or grill 6–7 minutes per side.
  7. Allow chicken to rest 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Garnish with herbs and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate chicken overnight. Greek yogurt creates the creamiest marinade and helps keep the chicken tender during cooking.
